The State and Islam in the Maghreb

Abstract

The author analyses the relationship from three points of view: the diversity of these relationships in the world of Islam, historical and ideological sources of these relationships and the impact of the “Arab spring” on the modern settlement legal and institutional in the Maghreb.

The author comes to the conclusion that far in the direction of the Secularization of law and State institutions was Tunisia. However, the civil society, which is still in the bud in the countries of the Maghreb, are marked by the conjoined social behavior. So-far-quite effectively inhibits is expressed, especially by young people, the pursuit of freedom, emancipatory flowing
from the north shore of the Mediterranean Sea.
