The spiritualization of science in Polish modernist literature: selected examples
Keywords:

An interesting phenomenon in Polish modernist literature was the attempt by its authors to engage in philosophical and religious discussions, as well as debates concerning scientific methodology. When designing the future shape of scientific inquiry, writers artistically interpreted the ideas of German spiritualist Karl Baron du Prel (1839–1899) and the anthroposophist Rudolf Steiner (1861–1925). The aim of these reflections is therefore to trace the ways in which the idea of the spiritualization of science manifested itself literature during the Young Poland period. To achieve this, selected fragments from the works of Tadeusz Miciński (1873–1918) and Jerzy Hulewicz (1886–1941) will be referred to.
